The Egyptian Society of Language Engineering (ESOLE) was established 1 January 1996 in Cairo, Egypt. The society aims at the fulfillment of many objectives leading to the promotion of the Language Engineering sciences with emphasis on those treating the Arabic language. Through the activities of the society academic and technical researchers, linguists, producers and end users from different places and different languages can share knowledge to promote the technology of man-machine communication by natural language.

The editorial board of The Egyptian Journal of Language Engineering is honored to invite you to publish your original research papers in the upcoming issues. The Nineth Issue will be on April 2018.


Paper submission due date: 15 January, 2018.

Notification of Acceptance: 15 March, 2018.


The Egyptian Journal of Language Engineering contains peer reviewed papers contributing to the theory and algorithms enhancing the understanding and development of language engineering systems and techniques as well as discussions of the social implications of these systems. The scope of the journal includes, but not limited to, language analysis and comprehension; language generation; spoken language understanding; discourse and dialog systems; evaluation of natural language processing systems; large corpora; speaker and language recognition; speech compression, recognition and synthesis; natural language processing for information retrieval, machine translation, computational linguistics; language engineering frameworks and methodologies; language engineering and artificial intelligence; automatic character recognition; word net architecture; semantic web and ontology languages; social nets.
