Authors’ Information

General: Papers should report significant new research results in Language Engineering. Each paper is peer reviewed by three referees and must not have been copyrighted, published in or submitted for publication to another refereed publication, and has not appeared in any conference or workshop proceedings. A Copyright Transfer Agreement signed by all of the authors must accompany the final version of a paper tentatively accepted for publication.

Submissions: The paper should be submitted Win Word 2007® in single spaced typing with New Times Roman font of 10 points size on papers A4 size (210mm x297mm). Page layout Margins should be Moderate. Papers can be in Arabic or English Language with pages numbered consecutively.

Title Page: Authors should list their names, affiliations and complete addresses on title page, providing telephone numbers and electronic mail address. A brief one-paragraph abstract of 100-200 words has to be included together with a list of six or fewer key words. A shortened version of the paper title is to be also included for use on page headings (to be identified as the running head).

Figures and Tables: Figures and tables are to be embedded in the text and numbered consecutively. Figures should contain graphical material, whereas tables should contain tabular and typeset material. A brief title is to be included above each table and a caption below each figure.

Headings and Footnotes: No more than 3 levels of headings should be used. All headings must be in 12pt font. Every word in a heading must be capitalized except for short minor words. Footnotes are to be used sparingly, indicated by consecutive numbers in the text. More details are included in the ESOLE Journal Template which can be downloaded from ESOLE web site.

Abbreviations: Standard abbreviations are acceptable in the text but must not appear in the title or abstract of the paper. For local or coined abbreviations, at first usage, the original term must be spelt out and enclosed in parentheses.

References: References should be inserted in the text with Arabic numerals in square brackets, consecutively for the whole text. Reference list should be given at the end of the text. Authors’ family names should follow their initials or given names, and separated by a comma. Years of publication should be enclosed in parentheses. Journal article references should include author’s name, journal title, volume number, page numbers and year of publication. Book references should include authors’ name, book title, edition or volume number if any, publisher, city of publication and year of publication. Report references should include author’s name, report title (number) and year of publication. Proceeding references should include author’s name, title of meeting, volume number if any, page numbers and year of publication. Titles of journals and meetings can be abbreviated following INIS (Authority List of Journal Titles).

Acknowledgements: are to be included in a separate section at the end of the text.

Biography: A brief biography of the authors is to be inserted at the end of the paper (not more than 200 words) accompanied with a personal photo of 25 x 30 mm.

Translated Abstract: A translation in opposite language with the Title, authors names and their affiliations.

Reprints: The authors receive 10 complementary copies of reprints with a cover.
